Week 6
The pennies have been counted and rolled. Our final total came to $482.63!!! All of the teams did a great job collecting their pennies but the Red Team came from behind and collected the most pennies. A big thanks to the congregation for their generous support. As mentioned previously, all of the money raised will be going to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Any extra pennies that come in will be collected and given to the House of Lauzarus.
Week 5
Even with all the excitement of Easter, people still remembered to bring in their pennies. Our total is now over $225.00, with the Yellow Team jumping into the lead!! Keep those pennies coming! This week is our last week and we'll be sure to give everyone an exact total in next week's bulletin and who is the Winning Team - Yeah! Excellent Participation from Everyone - THANK YOU!! Remember the money raised through the Penny Challenge will be donated to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Week 4
Wow... Wow... Wow...Many thanks to all who brought in their pennies last week!!! Our total jumped by more than $100, and the Green Team leapt into a small lead with $61.50. Our total to date is: $204.47!!! Keep those pennies coming! Next week is our last week and remember the money raised through the Penny Challenge will be donated to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Week 3
Snow, Snow, Snow! Last week the youth were thwarted by a great snowfall, but in case you missed it - the week before our youth ventured out into the congregation to collect some pennies. Thank you to everyone who donated their pennies to our 4 teams - Blue, Red, Yellow & Green. The Blue Team is presently in the lead with $20 but the other teams are not far behind.
Keep bringing in your pennies since they will be collecting them for the whole month of March. The money raised through the Penny Challenge will be donated to the Stephen Lewis Foundation , whose mandate is: "We focus on four critical areas: women, orphans, grandmothers and people living with HIV and AIDS."
